The current economic downturn has focussed the region’s clients and developers on the life-cycle costing of their buildings. SAS International will address this topic at the Middle East’s largest building and construction show, The Big 5, where they will be hosting five different seminars.
The SAS International ‘Building for the Future’ seminar, which takes place on 21st November, will look at the long term benefits of specifying material that provides value across the whole lifecycle of the building.
The term ‘whole lifecycle’ relates to costs throughout the life of a product, facility or system. As such, it includes the cost of design, procurement and construction; long-term operational and maintenance costs; and finally the cost of disposal. The same issues apply whether you refer to the through-life cost of an entire building or of a building component such as a metal ceiling system.
Also discussed will be the let ability of space within the region and how developers can attract new tenants.
Having operated in the Middle East for over thirty years, SAS International is driven by core values of quality, innovation and value. SAS International has supplied many projects in the region including the new Aldar HQ and The Souk, Abu Dhabi’s Central Market.
The Big 5 takes place from 21st to 24th November 2011 at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
