High rise contract for SAS International at Trust Tower

Specialist interior fit-out solutions manufacturer, SAS International, has supplied a bespoke metal ceiling solution, which is currently being installed, to Trust Tower in Abu Dhabi.

Aldar Properties recently announced that Trust Tower is now available for pre-lease, and the building offers 59 levels totalling 72,000 m² of office space.  Designed to Grade A standards, Trust Tower has been designed with efficiency and flexibility in mind and to enable incoming tenants to minimise expenditure and time spent on fit-out.

A bespoke radial SAS System 330 ceiling system was specified by leading architects Foster + Partners, with more than 300 different trapezoidal panels. Specially made panels will be installed around columns and at the building exterior to allow a continuous shadowgap, avoiding any on-site wastage.

Work is due to span over coming months with the official opening of the property planned for mid-2012.

Trust Tower is located in Aldar’s landmark Central Market in Abu Dhabi.

Foster + Partners is architect for the project; Arabian Construction Company

(ACC) is the main contractor; while the ceiling contractor is Arctic.

As one of the few buildings in Abu Dhabi designed specifically to internationally accepted Grade A standards, Trust Tower includes a number of distinctive features to meet the needs of international corporate tenants.  These include an intelligent facade that controls light levels; a state-of-the-art vertical transportation system with three banks of double-deck lifts; and flexibility in the ceiling design that enables tenants to customise their office space.
